Suggest Treatment For Cheek Bone Pain After Injury

Hi. My friend got into a bad fistfight. His cheekbone is now depressed, and he says it needs to be "popped out" which would take surgery. I just want to know what kind of surgery, and what is the recovery process for such a surgery. Also how to deal with the pain before and after. Thanks so much!
