Suggest Treatment For Chest & Back Spams

HI, I have been suffering sever chest pains and chest and back spasms since sunday. It got so bad last night at work I was taken to hopsital and they said it was anxiety however I don t think it is and my chest is still so painful and my breathing is still awful, I can t take a deep breath, however I am asthmatic. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain? it feels like a pulled muscle when im sat down but when I walk it generally feels like a heart attack or something, at least that s what I thought I had yesterday, any ideas?

hi,
chest pain and back spasm can have varied etiology.
Trauma to chest, fracture to ribs can have such presentation, where an XRay chest should be done to rule out any such cause.
A cardiac cause can be suspected if an underlying hypertension is present, an ECG will help to rule out this cause.
Severe anxiety or panic attack can have similar presentation however, should be considered only on ruling out any organic cause. A short course of benzodiazepine will help, but only if no respiratory pathology is found.
you can discus my opinion with your treating doctor.

thank you.
