My Child 11 years of age, is a non-verbal autistic child, has been diagnosed with congestion in the chest. Was coughing recurrently. After nebulizing him with Asthalin repsules, doc gave him Asthalin syrup, 7.5 ml for 3 times a day. There is slight relief now. Is the treatment on the right path.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to Lower respiratory tract infection.

For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, chest X Ray after pediatrician consultation.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Continue nebulization as advised.

Take hygienic food and water.

Keep him hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further...

Regards,
