In my opinion you should follow below mentioned steps for hyperacidity. And if your cardiac work up is negative than this acidity seems to be causative factor for your problem.
1. Avoid spicy and oily food.
2. Avoid heavy meals, take small small meals.
3. Take good antacids like pantoprazole and rabeprazole with prokinetic agents like levosulperide.
4. Try to reduce some weight.
5. Go for walk after meals.
6.Take atleast 2 pillows below your head in the bed.
