Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding chest infection with severe headache of your partner for about a weeks time.

As you told the symptoms of your partner it appears as he is having respiratory tract infection basically lower respiratory tract involving lungs. Since one weeks time had already passed and coughing is at hight so I would like to advice you these basic investigations-

1- Culture and sensitivity of sputum.

2- Gram's staning of sputum.

3- X-Ray chest.

4- Blood- CBC, ESR, bllod sugar (fasting & post parendial).

Till above formalities are going on you may take-

1- Warm salin gargling & steam inhalation.

2- Mucolytic and expectorant.

3- Tab paracetamol.

With the help of inferences of above investigations and their clinical co-relation with clinical findings by your doctor one may reach to correct diagnosis and that may be accordingly manage.

Regards.
