Suggest Treatment For Chest Infection

Had a bad chest infection about 6 weeks ago. Had 2xrays and last one showed still had a bit of infection there so going for another today I gave up smoking 6 weeks ago but still every now and then fill a tiny pain at top of rib the side I had the chest infection and.bring up some yellow with brown flecks of my chest could I have another inflection

Thanks for your query.
I don't think that this is another infection. As you were a smoker, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease should be ruled out here. For this you need to undergo a spirometry with bronchodialator reversibility to look for the obstructive airway changes and if present you may need to take inhalers. Consult a pulmonologist soon and get your chest thoroughly examined.
