Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath
I m 25 years old female my height is 5 5 and weight is 88lb recently I visited a doctor and he told me I have loud heart murmur and told me to get the Ecko done. I have no symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath. Just want to know if there is anything to worry about?
I understand your concern. First of all, it is not clear from your question if you do or do not have symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath. This detail would be very useful. Anyway, heart murmurs in adults are usually an indication of a problem with the heart valves. While some heart murmurs may be normal or "innocent", they are usually related to either valve calcification or infection of the inner heart layer or rheumatic fever. However, not every murmur is related to valve disease. Sometimes, conditions such as pregnancy, hyperthyroidism or anemia can cause loud heart murmurs. In any case, without the appropriate investigation it cannot be said for sure what the cause of the murmur is. The ultrasound will be a good start to find out. Wishing you good health and all the best.
