Suggest Treatment For Chills And Sharp Temple Pain

For three days I had uncontrollable chills . That lasted about an hour. Then I ll get exceedingly warm .i also have stabbing pain in my left temple. Two days ago. Had a temp of 102.4. It has come done to 99.2. Today I ve developed diarrhea . I can t eat or sleep . The pain in my temple seems to be helped a little by ibuprofen. It came on suddenly. Went to bed on Fri. feeling fine then woke up with the chills. The chills have subsided. I was in Indonesia foe three weeks but took my antimalerial pills religiously, sprayed and don t remember getting bitten.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the chills. I also suggest drinking liquids and rest. The symptoms will probably relieve in a couple of days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
