I had come down sick last weekend. chills, vomiting, muscle aches, pain in left leg which was red and inflamed. grew increasingly worse over the weekend. couldn t put any weight on it when it was elevated for any length of time. went to clinic by where I live and the doctor thought it was a infection of some sort and had given me a shot of a med called sufamethoxazole. along with a prescription for a bottle of oral pills. well, I looked up the side effects and I can t believe she would prescribe something like this, that has a high severe reaction list. I took a another look at my leg and the rash is spreading and then I had recalled that I am highly allergic to poison Ivy, although this rash is similar to poison sumac. I m still feeling the effects of the shot, I can t work cause of the swelling in my foot and I haven t been able to go back in cause of lack of finances after the visit, which just about drained my bank account. would you, knowing as you do, would prescribe something like that with that amount of side effects?.. also she had prescribed a anti nausea med that is given to chemo and surgical patients. I don t have cancer and I don t have any surgery on the horizon, so why prescribe something like these, that are also not cheap to someone that it won t work to begin with?.....
