Suggest Treatment For Chlamydia During Pregnancy

I found out that both me and my partner have chlamydia I'm also pregnant. I got treated and on the first day we had unprotected sex.. Could I be reinfected? Do I need to go back to the doctors? He gets his medication on the weekend due to him not being able to go during the week because of work. I got 4 tabs took two yesterday and have to have 2 next week the same day that I had them this week.

I would appreciate any help. Thank you so much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is advised that sexual activity is not resumed till at least 7 days after treatment to reduce the risk of reinfection.

This means that it is possible that re infection has occurred. After you have completed your course, your doctor may want to reassess and retreat you and your partner.

I hope this helps
