Hello,
It's not shock. Shock is defined as a state of acute energy failure due to inadequate glucose substrate delivery, oxygen delivery, or
mitochondrial failure at the cellular level.
The clinical state of shock is diagnosed on the basis of
vital signs, physical examination, and laboratory data.
Shock is clinically detected as a state with low BP cold extremities, reduced skin turgor and many other clinical manifestations. Shock is broadly divided in to the following types owing to causation:
-
Hypovolemic shock (due to fluid or blood loss)
-
Septic shock (infection)
-
Cardiogenic shock (due to heart dysfunction)
-Obstructive shock (due to blockage in blood supply) now coming to your specific situation.
What you had is medically termed as Rigor or in simple English "shivering".
It's body's way of response to cold to increase the core temperature. Your exposure to cold and further aloevera which also lead to heat loss and hence, in response you felt chills and had rigor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
