Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough And Vomiting

I get a sudden tickle in my throat, it can happen at any time without warning and I immediately vomit , each and every time. I also have a chronic cough for 13 months now, my doctor has prescribed different types of cough meds. but none work, not even codeine. This has been a real disruption in my every day and also social life. What may be the cause of these 2 different symptoms.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This is a rare phenomenon where you are getting the vomiting on sudden trickle in the throat without warning. This is due to the gag reflex.
Now that you have chronic cough of 13 months not responding to any cough medicines even to codeine indicates that you need to be investigated.
I would advise you the following;
X-ray of the chest and the sinuses to be followed by CT scan if indicated to confirm the diagnosis.
MRI of the brain to decide whether there is leakage of the CSF fluid.
Once the diagnosis is made it will be easy to get a proper treatment and a chance to get a cure.
