Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

I have gone through your query. As you are having chronic cough first thing should is to rule out TB by doing a sputum AFB analysis.

If that is ok it is most likely allergic condition only. For such condition i advise my patients with inhaled beta agonist like formeterol and steroids like budesonide for long duration.

I also give them antihistamine like levocetirizine and mast cell stabilzers like monteleukast as prophylactic for long term.Usually dust allergy is the main culprit.Vacuuming of your staying places will gives you relief from this to a great extent.
Thank you.
