Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough
I have had a cough for several weeks...I was diagnosed with bronchitis... my coughing gets extremely deep and last till I pass out...I have had to pick myself up off the floor several times. broke my wrist from passing out...should I have reason to think it is more than just bronchitis? I have never had anything like this before with bronchitis.

If you are diagnosed with bronchitis and you are taking treatment for the same and still the symptoms are getting worsened then you need to get yourself reexamined .Either your treatment needs to be revised or you need to look for some alternative diagnosis for your cough. Besides bronchitis there can be other reasons for cough like pneumonitis (infections of the lungs), allergic asthma or post nasal drip.
Even sometimes gastric reflux can cause such symptoms. There are certain medications like some blood pressure medicines which can cause cough. So I will advise you that go for some investigations like complete blood count, chest X-ray and pulmonary function tests, so that proper diagnosis is made and adequate treatment is planned.
