Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a cough for about 6 months. Not continuous. Not productive. More like a tickle. Sometimes agitated by something I eat or drink. Sometimes just by talking. Sometimes I wake up at night with this ticklish feeling. Usually only relieved by a cough drop. What could it be?
Based on the provided information the cough sees to be triggered by acid reflux. I suggest taking antacids such as Maalox. I also suggest using Omeprazole in the morning before breakfast. Avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
