Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough

Chronic couph, family history of the same ,starts at age 50 gets worse as years go. Am 66 now with mother sister brothers and uncles with couph. I can sit quietly lauph and eat when couph occurs. Have been on gabapenton pills for a year. Now anti depression. No change

Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis..
Sputum culture test and helpful for diagnosis..
Chest X ray can done if needed. Start a treatment as per reason behind it....
