Suggest Treatment For Chronic Diarrhea

I have had severe consistent diarrhoea for two days now, I haven t eaten much and have tried diarrhoea suppressant tablets but it won t stop. It has been so severe that now there is no odour and barely any colour to it at all, it s as if I am pooping slightly stagnant water and that is all. Should I be concerned?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chronic diarrhea . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , food allergy , bacterial or viral infection , parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease .I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with lopramide . For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
