Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my dear friend has chronic ear pain, the docs say it s simply a miss firing nerve but I ve noticed that she wakes up from the pain at very specific times. I ve traced the wake up times to brain function during sleep and noticed that she always wakes up late stage 3 or stage 4, I am asking if it s possible the hypothalamus s activity during delta wave activity *stage 4* could have connection to the pain and, is it possible that the pain is caused by the brain and not an inflamed nerve, the pain is located behind the left ear. She s in constant pain any help is appreciated
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic ear pain which could be due to ear infection and it could be due to damage to nerve leading to sensorineural hearing loss. . Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures.
- You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine.
- Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day.
- Take proper rest.
- Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure.
If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done for proper examination. You can go for nerve regeneration methods.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
