Hi,

I understand your concern.

Chronic hives can be idiopathic or caused by stress if other factors are excluded.
Allergy tests are recommended to determine the allergen.

If nothing is found, and taking into account your personal history of traveling quite often, intestinal parasites can be another cause for hives. Stool examination for ova/parasites to run further.

After determining the cause, we can easily prevent hives onset. However, keep in mind that insect bites cannot be prevented unless you use insect repellents when traveling to countries known for high prevalence of mosquitoes or other insects.

Stress can cause hives, coping with stress, and stress relieving techniques can also help. Walking or stepping and breathing fresh air can help.

All the best.
