Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. She is 16 years and have severe migraine not remitting with medicines. She is taking Tylenol (Paracetamol), Ibuprofen 200 or Meloxicam 7.5 mg and even with these medicines her symptoms are persisting. All these medicines are analgesics and can control the symptoms but cant treat the headache. I'd advise you to take opinion of a neuropsychiatrist for her symptoms.

Medicines like Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline, Sodium Valproate etc can help her if taken daily and regularly. These medicines along with beta blockers like Propranolol when taken regularly help to reduce the frequency of headaches. For severe pain conditions medicines like Sumatriptan can be used. Please visit a doctor for prescription of these medicines.

Thanks, Hope this helps you.

Take care
