Suggest Treatment For Chronic Neck And Shoulder Pain

Hello Doctor!I'm suffering from chronic neck and shoulder pain with numbness of hand and full arm on left side since year.Recently i came to know i'm having cervical rib on both sides.But prb is on left side.Coming to right hand side it gets pain very often.I was recommended for thoracic surgeon to remove cervical rib.And also EMG test.My question do i need surgery to remove both sides or one side?How many days does it takes to recover from surgery?Please reply asap.Thanks
