Suggest Treatment For Clogged Ear Due To Landing On Water

Hello, i fell barefoot skiing on my ear at 35 miles an hour sunday. The water shot up my ear which of course was very painfull and made me very dizzy for a minute or two. My ear has been cloggesd for three days with drainage for two days. Now i have the ringing in my ear with little pain and no discharge. should i give it a few more days to see if it will heal on its own or should i see specialist.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Thanks for sharing your problem with us on Healthcaremagic.
My opinion is you should consult an ENT specialist cause there was a discharge from your ear for two days and now you have ringing sensation in the ear.
Doctor will check your ear with autoscope. We have to rule out whether there is a trauma to your tympanic membrane.

Hope this will help you.

Get well soon.

Thank you.
