Hello,

If you have ears clogged and also pain with it very likely you have otitis externa and you will need some ear drops with antibiotics. It is important to see your doctor which will examine your ears and make sure if you need antibiotics.
Sometimes old wax can cause ears to be clogged but when pain settles very likely it is getting infected. In this case ear lavage is needed and maybe the doctor will give antibiotic ear drops or boric acid for a day or two or even longer if it is needed.
Make sure you prevent water from entering your ears meanwhile as it might make the infection worse, so use cotton in the ears when you shower and use local warm compresses and ibuprofen to help with the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
