Suggest Treatment For Cloudy Urine, Lower Back And Pelvic Pain
My wife has been experiencing cloudy urine, lower back pain, pressure in the pelvic area and flu like symptoms for 3 or 4 weeks. Severity of the symptoms range from mild to severe. Sometimes disappearing altogether. She has a history of cancer. She was treated for cervical cancer about 16 years ago with chemotherapy and radiation and had a complete histerectomy. There have been no signs of recurring cancer to date. She recently had a physical and lab work and everything was in the normal range.
Your wife will need a urinalysis to rule out urinary infection. The fact that the urine is cloudy and she has pelvic pain and low back pain, these all can happen with urinary infection which is the first to be ruled out. If the urinalysis shows infection the doctor might start antibiotics and also might order a urine culture to confirm that the antibiotics are effective. The doctor might order an ultrasound examination to visualize the urinary system and the pelvic organs as well.
Meanwhile she should drink plenty of water, at least 2-3 liters a day to help wash out the urinary system and help with the symptoms. Medications for pain like paracetamol and ibuprofen can be used as well.
I hope this answers your query. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
