Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has a family history of blood cots in the brain. It has killed two of his close male family members. He also gets cluster headaches. I am not well versed in any medical knowledge. He said it has something to do with his hypothalamus swelling and causing something to secrete. He started getting injections today and will be getting them 2 to 3 times a week. I am very scared, obviously. He has worked in hospitals his whole life, and has tried to explain to me what is going on, but is speaking well over my head. Can you please direct me to a brain clots for dummies that I can read up. He wants to do this by himself, because it is his nature. But I can not handle not being knowledgeable on the subject. Thank you for you time, Concerned wife
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of headache then it may not be due to cerebral pathology but most probably it is the tension headache, if it is doubtful for some brain disease then CT of brain is the option and without this it can not be ruled out, but it is the tension headache or migraine hope this information helps.
