I did some heavy cross-country skiing on the same day I had to unload a trailer full of 50# boxes from 9pm to 3am. I then had heavy work schedules for the next couple of days. I am now very ill (head cold, completed lack of energy, cough and full sinus). I realize it was a mistake to overload my body in this way, especially since I m a 47-year old male. What can I do to help speed my recovery? I am taking extra vitamin C, zinc and echennacia (sp?). Also, would Glutamine taken after a heavy day help me to avoid getting sick?
