Suggest Treatment For Cold And Nasal Congestion In A Child

Good afternoon, 3weeks ago, my three months grand daughter started having a cold/sinus like symptoms with stuffy or runny nose alternatively. She was given saline drops to clear the stuffiness. But now she s coughing, still stuffy and has mucus dripping in her throat, could that be bronchitis? She was prescribed a breathing treatment and pedialite.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your child seem to be related to a cold.
The cough after a cold can last for three weeks until a month.
So,I suggest not to be worried.
I recommend to use saline nasal drops for the stuffy nose.
I also recommend to continue the medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
