Suggest Treatment For Cold, Cough And Fever

my friend just came back from Indiania. He was there for four weeks. About week after he got back he started this cough and feels cold all over. He feels like he has a fever. When he goes to bed he sweats. He says feels like whatever it is he can't cough it up. Says he feels conjested.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here you are having acute upper respiratory tract infection and so having congestion

Work up done in following ways...
-Auscultation
-CBC
-Peripheral smear examination
-ASO titre

If reports suggestive of bacterial infection than suitable antibiotic like levofloxacin or Amoxiclav prescribed

Drink more water

Avoid excess spicy foods

Take benadryl like decongestant drug

Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily

Steam inhalation two times a day

Citrous fruits more

Take care

Consult physician or pulmonologoist for examination and further work up
