Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3.5 yr old daughter has had the worst smelling farts today. Seriously. I am afraid she has rectal cancer. I ve never ever smelled anything so awful. She has a cold, cough and runny nose. We ve given her Sambuccal natural cough syrup, but that is all. What could be causing this???
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of cold, cough and runny nose which is due to severe upper respiratory infection and it could be due to poor immunity of child. Need not to worry. Apply mist humidifiers in room and give child throat soothing agents. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done so as to detect level of infection and treatment can be started accordingly. You should take combination of antibiotic Levofloxacin along with antihistamine such as Levocetirizine. You should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
