Suggest Treatment For Cold, Cough And Symptoms Of Heart Murmur

My resting heart beat is usually in the 70 s, the last couple of days it has been close to 100 at times and then drop down some but not clear down where I think it should be. I am 72 years old and yesterday was told that I might have a heart murmur. I have had a cold and cough and put on cough med with cod in it. I had a had attack in 2001 and I have four stents. With that in mind when my resting heart beat gets to 100 plus should i go to the emergency room?

Hello,

Yes, if your heart rate is very high more than 100 means have to go to ER. How many days having cold and cough? Any contact with COVID19 patients or visited infected area? Better go for a test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
