Suggest Treatment For Cold Nodules In The Neck

Hi Dr s, I m a 46y old female and I have a rapid growing ( 1month ) cold nodule in my neck ( 12inches ), I am waiting for an FNA. ( CT scan done, thyroid works normal) I m extremely tired, my ears ache from time to time, have night sweats sometimes mostly on legs, have itchy skin, dont eat a lot. Just to know, what are the chances that this is maligne, like Non-hodgkins or hodgkins? I am also lung patient ( COAD) and have Fybromyalgia. I am very down to earth person , and know that this could be cancer. Many thanks in advance for your advice, Femke

Hello,

It could be a thyroid nodule . A thyroid module has even less than 1% risk of turning malignant . I would say let's wait for the FNAC report and if it is thyroid dysfunction a tablet is all that is required . Surgery can be done dear to Remove the nodule of it doesn't respond to medication .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
