Suggest Treatment For Cold With Fever, Cough And Nasal Congestion

Hi, I have a cold with fever, cough, and nasal congestion. I already took 4 pills of Mucinex during the day with a 4-5 hour interval. Than after about 4-5 hours after Mucinex, I took 1 pill of excedrine. It was around 4.5 hours ago. Now I cant fall asleep and want to take 2 pills of Mucinex Fast Max Cold, Flu & Sore Throat. Can I do that?

I don't believe in this temporary treatment, though quick but with side effects.

To my own patients, I would give cap Tulsi, cap haridra and steam inhalation with one drop each of Shadbindu oil in each nostril. Hot water sips ( water boiled with ginger pieces and a tsp of honey in 200 ml water). Diabetics may avoid honey.

A week or so is enough to let you feel better. You may continue if needed. No side effects.

Hope it helps.
