Hello doctor, My daughter is 3.5 month old and she is having loose motion from past 3 days before it she had cold and cough then doctor suggest us some medicine after that she is having loose motion.still having some coldand passing reen mucus stool.what to do now?

Hello,

The most important thing with children having loose stools is keeping them hydrated. Generally the diarrhea goes away within a few days but the higher risk is if the loose water and electrolytes and they are not substituted.
it is important that if she is breastfeeding to be breastfeed as often as possible and also give her oral rehydration solutions to substitute both water and electrolyte loss. If she is not breastfeeding it is important to give her oral rehydration solutions as often as possible.
If you think she is getting dehydrated you will need to send her to the doctor and have intravenous fluids.
