Suggest Treatment For Confusion And Loss Of Balance

My husband just had a bout of confusion and loss of balance. He has had bad balance for a year or more, but this was worse. And he was very confused. He spoke clearly and did not have tingling, but he had dizzyness and a headache. How concerned should I be? Can it wait until Tuesday?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

As of now, you can take drugs like betahistine for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
