Suggest Treatment For Connective Tissue Disorder

Hello,

I'm a 60 y.o. male who has been very active his entire, however, I've paid the price and believe that part of the reason why is because I have an underlying connective tissue and/or autoimmune problem. I have always been prone to muscle cramping, tendonitis that evolves into stubborn tendonosis and tendon tears. I've ruptured my Achilles and TFL and other smaller tendons. My sister died of dermatomyositis (in 1955) and my mother died with and undiagnosed similar problem. I have widespread OA and there hasn't been a day, since my early teens, that I haven't had some kind of pain. I've always ignored it but it's finally worn me down and I worry about my future. I've never seen a doctor for anything but treating the obvious symptoms and not discuss the possible underlying cause because I wasn't interested in considering drugs. I think I'm finally ready to, though. Any thoughts about my description would be appreciated. I'm assuming a rheumatolgist would be the most appropriate physician to see, yes?

Thank you very much/
