Suggest Treatment For Constant Pain And Numbness In Feet

I am a type 2 diabetic and I have been having some problems with my feet, tingling and pain. My doctor has put me on Gabapentin 300 mg capsules, but this has not corrected the problem. I have talked with my doctor about the constant pain and numbness after being on the medicine for over a month and was told to increase the dosage. This has not helped and I am not sure that this medicine is correct for my problem. What is your suggestion?
