Suggest Treatment For Constant Ringing In The Ears

Hello, my left ear started ringing 5 nights ago, Saturday night. I went to the ENT on Wednesday and he said that the wax was impacted on my left eardrum (he couldn t even see my eardrum in that ear) and he micro-suctioned my ears. I had hoped for immediate relief of the ringing, but it s now late the next night after having my ears suctioned and my left ear continues to ring. If the ringing is from the impacted wax, is there an estimate of when that may stop after the removal?

Hi,

Wax is the most common cause for tinnitus (ringing sensations in the ear). And wax is recurrent too. So in my opinion, you should revisit your ENT doctor and get done an examination of the left ear.

If the wax is there then get it removed. But if the wax is not there then get done MRI of the inner ear to identify other causes for tinnitus.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
