Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Hysterectomy
I just had kidney stent removed on left side due to a hysterectomy that went wrong. I have been constpated but stared using castor oil to go but these passed 3 days I have had serious ride side pain around hip area. I thought maybe I pulled something because I have had so many complications cause of hysterectomy back in January. My 27 year old DAUGHTER just passed away April 6. Could it be stress.pulled muscles, or something more serious

The following are few probable causes of pain around hip area:
1) Sciatic nerve compression
2) Hip fracture
3) Avascular necrosis of femur
4) Compression of lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh
5) Radiculopathy
To those who come to my clinic with similar symptoms, i would suggest the following:
1) Pain relieving medication like NSAIDs ibuprofen or Naproxen twice daily for 1 week.
2) To prevent gastric irritation, tab. Pantop before food is recommended.
3) If NSAIDs are not to be used as in case of bleeding disorders or in kidney failure, opioids like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone or Tramadol can be used twice daily for 1 week.
If your pain doesn't subside with the above treatment, you may need to consult an orthopedic specialist.
