Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Mucus In Stool

I have been constipated for 10 days nothing over the counter has worked...I also have mucus in my stool when I do have a bowl movement and over the past month I ve gained 10 lbs...I went to the Dr today he ordered a solution for me to drink I also took an X-Ray not for sure why...should I be worried?

Hi,

Yes. You can take stool softeners for some days and you should be okay. If there is still no relief, it is better to get a CT of the abdomen done.
