Suggest Treatment For Correcting Hunchback

What kind of Dr., can I see for a hunchback? I have lots of pain on the hunch area, and the hunch is upper back lower neck area. I did research and I think it s called Kyphosis. I have seen a Chiropractor and was told I had no cushion in that area, and was arthritic.

Hello,

How old are you? In old age due to lack of disc space and also due to osteoporosis lead to kyphosis of vertebrae. It is corrected by supplementation of vitamin D and calcium to prevent osteoporosis. alendronate or etindronate may also useful. Physical therapy and muscle strengthening exercises may useful. If no improvement please consult with your orthopedist he may plan for surgery if your fit.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
