Hello,
Incomplete data like age, purpose of doing
ultrasound, any associated symptoms such as irregular menses or
infertility, et cetera? The ultrasound finds are suggestive of
Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD).
It's a disease characterized by multiple (‘poly’) cysts (small sacs filled with fluid) in the ovaries due to hormonal imbalance that results in irregular menses, infertility and certain masculine changes in the body. Treatment depends upon your problems.
If you have irregular menses, your doctor will prescribe combined birth control pills (containing both Estrogen and Progestin).
If are trying to get pregnant,
Clomiphene can be used to induce ovulation (cause egg production). Along with this medication
Metformin may be added to help induce ovulation.
Beside, you need to have certain lifestyle measures to decrease the body weight such as increasing physical activity and diet. Surgery is rarely performed now days because of the effectiveness of the above medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
