Ive had a really bad cough the last 2 weeks, I was given antibiotics by the soctor but started to react to them so stopped taking them yesterday. When I cough now I have a really sharp pain behind my left breast that feels like a pulled muscle and from this morning when I cough I have a fizzing sensation in my throat and chest. Do I need to go back to the doctors?
Yes, you should definitely consult the doctor and get done a clinical examination of the respiratory system and chest x-ray. A chest x-ray needs to rule out lung infection. If the chest x-ray is normal, then no need to worry for a lung infection. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of the chest. Avoid movements causing pain. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Don't worry you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
