Suggest Treatment For Cough And Cold In A Child

Hello doctor, My child is 5 month 15 days old and weighs 8 kg. She is suffering from cough and cold with wheezing sound coming from chest. She is advised below medication: 1.Levolin raspule 0.31 mg - 4 times a day with nebulization 2.Maxtra : 0.5 ml 3 times a day 3.Ambrodil : 1 ml 3 times a day She has not shown much recovery over last 2-3 days. Is it because medicine is prescribed In lower quantity?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cough and cold symptoms may last for 1-2 weeks, even if no serious infection is present. If your child is active and eating as usual and seems to be well in general, there is nothing to worry about but have the treatment regularly.
If the child is not active, playful and is not eating as usual but looks more tired and inactive than usual, and especially if there is any worsening, please send the child to be seen by the doctor as soon as possible.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
