Suggest Treatment For Cough And Cold

I am suffering from cough and cold. While coughing there is a very very slight pain in my chest. May be because of the mucus which is not coming out easily. I do smoke but in recent past i use to smoke very less. Say 2 cigs in three days. Planed to quit. Kindly suggest me the medicine which will help me solve this. Treatment under going - Also i am using green tea with ginger, pepper and mint leaves and Acetylcysteine 600 mg effervescent tabs 1 - 1 - 1 daily from past two days.

Hi,

Your symptoms suggest severe respiratory infection likely to be allergic cold to start with, with probable bronchitis. A detailed physical examination, with needful investigations are needed for advising a specific line of treatment which would include antibiotic, anti allergic and bronchodilator cough syrup. SYRUP Brozedex with hot water twice a day would help till you meet a pulmonologist.
