I have been sick with a cough and congestion since 12/20/2014 I went to my drs. Office on 12/26/2014 I was given a z pack and told to take musinex and liquids after the z pack I was still sick so I went back she stopped the musinex and gave me Cyprio on 1/08/2015 I am still coughing, get tired easy, and feed up with this thing I want my life back! Cure me. I am seventy and was in pretty good health

Because both these conditions can cause chronic cough and congestion. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Clinical examination of respiratory system 2. Chest x ray to rule out lung infection 3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis. Sputum culture and sensitivity report is needed to identify the causative organism and starting appropriate antibiotic treatment.
