Suggest Treatment For Cough And Runny Nose In A Child

Dear doctor, My son is 6 months old he is suffering with runny nose and cough from last 3 weeks at first when we consulted a physician he suggested to give him worm stream twice a day but there was no improvement so we consulted after a week then he doubted there might be a hereditary problem to my son but me and wife don t have that problem my grand mother and my uncle are sensitive to climate . Is it true? runny nose and severe cough are called as Asthma??? then physician suggested him to inhale Levolin respules (0.8ml + 1.5ml of NS) and budecort respules(0.5ml + 1.5ml of NS) twice a day but after the 5 day course there was no much result can you please help us what is our next step???
