Suggest Treatment For Cough, Cold And Shortness Of Breath
I have a cold. I cough a lot,but don t get much phlegm to come out. My lungs feel like I have shortness of breath. When I blow my nose, the snot is clear. I don t have much energy. Do you have any suggestions? Do I need to go see a Dr or just wait it out?
Your symptoms of cold, cough and shortness of breath appear due to atmospheric allergies. Shortness of breath is due to constriction of bronchi due to allergen. Therefore, you are advised to avoid the atmospheric allergies, if possible, like not going outside in dusty atmosphere, using mask while going outside.
Besides this, you may try some OTC anti-allergic like Cetirizine or Loratadine etc.. If this does not solve your problem, then you may use some bronchodilator or anti-inflammatory agent like Montelukast under guidance of your doctor, as it is a prescription drug.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
