Suggest Treatment For Cough, Pain In Neck And Swollen Tonsil

Hi. I have a, really bad cough, had it for 3/4 days now. Seems to be getting worse. I have just recovered from a cold. Along with the cough I have pain in my neck, around the back and sides. Sort of like with you have swollen tonsils pain but in the side and back. I also have the same type of pain in my shoulders close to my neck and my upper back. Hurts more when I swallow. Please can you advise

Hi, Emperically you can take anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 days. If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated. You may need an antibiotics in case of infection. None of them are prescription medicines, so I would advise you to consult with the doctor and get evaluated.
