Suggest Treatment For Cough , Sinus And Nasal Drip
I have been suffering with nasal drip for the last few months. I was prescribed a steroid spray which when I use eases the nasal drip and the irritating cough seems to go. When I stop using the spray, in time I can the nasal drip starts again. I woke yesterday with quite severe sinus pain, puffy eyelids and my eyes look really dark, almost like bruising. It also looks like I have a small bruise on the bridge of my nose. I suffer with anxiety and feel really stressed and concerned. Should I visit my GP?
Hi. Thanks for your query, read and understood your concerns.Noted your history of nasal drip which gets controlled with steroid sray. This indicates tat you have an allergic rhinitis. It appears that you suddenly developed the symptoms of sinus pain, puffy eyelids, dark eyes and bruising on the bridge of the nose. This occurs when you have fungal infection of the sinus due to allergic rhinitis and use of steroid spray.
I would advise you the following: Immediately rush to ER or an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation whether this is due to sinus infection or an additional central sinus thrombosis of the brain also. Urgent CT scan of the sinuses and an MAI and venogram of the brain are to be done and antibiotic and antifungal treatment instituted. Further care and surgery to be done as advise and whenever advised.
