Hello,

Without being able to examine you or take further history, I really can't say for sure what is going on.

It's possible that the vomiting is from the antibiotic or cough medicine. It's also possible that a virus that is causing the cold symptoms is also causing the vomiting.

Typically, it is not advisable to take an antibiotic for a cold as these are viral infections and antibiotics are for bacterial infections, so I'm not sure why the doctor gave you an antibiotic.

A headache and neck pain, if it is muscular neck pain, maybe from the strain from vomiting. However, if it is a stiff neck, such as pain when you flex your neck or bring up a leg straight when laying down, and fever, then you must go back to the ER to rule out meningitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
